USB Micro SD Adapter

While many computers come with an SD, some do not.  If you don’t have an SD slot, but you have a micro SD card, a standard SD adapter isn’t going to work for you.  You’re going to need a USB Micro SD adapter.

You’ve seen the USB flash drives that are popular these days.  They are tiny and can hold quite a bit of information.  These drives use flash memory to store information.  Flash memory is non-volatile or incredibly stable.  This is what makes them so portable; they are less susceptible to electric shock damage, and require no power to maintain the information on the drive.

This makes it very easy to transfer information from one computer to another.  And while some computers have an SD reader, almost all computers have at least one USB slot.  USB flash drives are pretty versatile, but they aren’t compatible with call phones or digital cameras.

Now, many digital cameras and cell phones use MicroSD cards as their memory of choice.  This is where a USB Micro SD adapter comes in handy, because it’s form and function is almost identical to that of a USB drive, except you’d insert your microSD into the adapter.

In addition to transferring pictures and music to and from your digital devices, these devices can also operate as a standard USB drive.  This gives you the ultimate in versatility and options.
